History of the Alliance

On July 17, 1998, Leuven Measurement and Systems International (LMS) and Instron^® Structural Testing Systems (IST) signed a partnership agreement to develop and market high quality hardware, software and systems solutions for durability testing, simulation and analysis.

In Spring 2002, Kistler Instrumente AG joined the Durability Alliance. Kistler Instrumente AG is the worldwide market leader in sensor technology, in particular Piezo load measurement.
