In close cooperation with Instron Structural Test­ing Systems (IST), German automobile manufacturer Adam OPEL AG, based in Rüsselsheim, Germany, has installed a ‘Deterioration’ test rig for complete vehicles, enabling extreme mechanical and environmental fatigue loads to be simulated in the laboratory in the minimum time.
