About the SF1490 Series Spring Testers:
The SF1491 EMSY Spring Tester is a floor standing electro-mechanical testing machine equipped with Instron’s EMSY load cell system that determines the true response vector of a coil compression spring under load. This information is used by spring manufacturers and suspension design engineers to develop suspensions for automobiles and light trucks with better and safer ride characteristics.
The system uses nine load cells to accurately determine the center of load position on the upper and lower spring bearing surfaces as well as all axial and lateral loads and moments generated by the spring.
Control Electronics and Software:
The SF1491 control electronics provide machine servo control and data acquisition on all nine load channels and the main position (height) channel synchronously and reliably.
Designed specifically for testing springs and spring type products, Instron's Partner™ Spring Testing Software features fast, one-step testing with easy-to-read graphs and clear color-coded result displays. Results are stored in a database and can be accessed at the PC, via a network connection, or printed in a customizable report.
