The 120RTM Torsion Tester offers a standard torque capacity of 13,540 Nm (120,000 in-lb).
This robust industrial frame provides maximum stiffness and has the
capability to test specimens up to 2387 mm (94 in) in length and
1778 mm (70 in) in diameter.
Torque loads are sensed by a reaction-type
strain gauge torque cell and closed loop servo control of the
electromechanical drive is provided by Instron's standard 5500
electronics and Partner torsion software.
Frames with a capacity of 22,597 Nm (200,000 in-lb) are
available for special order.
