Instron has long-term success in training and developing apprentices in a varying number of schemes which are suited to students seeking experience in either Manufacturing or Business/Commercial. 

If you’re looking to start a career in Engineering, gain hands-on experience and work towards gaining educational qualifications, Instron is the place for you!

  • Our apprenticeship programme sets the foundations of engineering using knowledge acquired from GCSE maths and science. Therefore we require all applicants to have a minimum of 5 GCSE’S at C grade for above including Maths, English, and Science.

Positions available:


This role sits in the Transducer team which works on all aspects of Transducers product activities such as assembly and test of sub-assemblies, gauging, electrical wiring, and more.


Within this role you will be involved in numerous tasks including basic hand tool tasks, communicating with internal customers, and when trained, using overhead cranes, ‘cherry pickers’ and reading and understanding engineering drawings.
