Working at Instron
Having worked for Instron as a placement student from June 2014 until September 2015, I then re-joined the company as a Business Analyst after graduating from Loughborough University in July 2016.
My experience of Instron has been exceptional having had exposure to all elements of the business. The company is global which allows for multiple diversified opportunities yet small enough to enable a placement student or recent graduate to make an impact.
What does your role involve?
My role is to ensure the organisation maximises the value it receives from its investment in enterprise software and line-of-business applications.
I act as the liaison between the business end of the organisation and the providers of services and also as a key player in the governance of worldwide business processes and their application to business systems in the pursuit of process improvement, simplification and change.
How did you become a Business Analyst?
Whilst working as a placement student at Instron I discovered my skills lay in understanding business systems and the processes that accompany them. I found it particularly rewarding working on projects that provided real business value and improved colleagues working procedures and this experience acted as a catalyst for me to pursue options to work as a Business Analyst after graduating.
