Certification to Highest Standards and Traceability

All Instron reference equipment (calibration standards) used in our verification activities are directly traceable to recognized national standards, and to units of measurement realized at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the USA, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the United Kingdom, or other internationally recognized national metrology institutions (NMIs). All procedures meet or exceed relevant ISO or ASTM standards. Certification is also provided for each transducer together with a comprehensive report showing the actual verification results for each point taken with related traceability and uncertainty data.

Calibration certificates issued by our calibration laboratories are provided in a digitally encrypted format. This provides our customers with the versatility of storage, the retrieval and reproduction of this important documentation, and the knowledge that it is safe from unauthorized change. In many cases, the calibration certificates can also be made available in Spanish, French, German, and Italian.

Protect Your Investment

We are aware that performance of any testing equipment can change over time. Whether it is your customer's or your own policy, periodic field verification confirms accuracy and repeatability, and informs you of any required repairs or adjustments.
