Stop Blocks

Blocks used for arresting (stopping) the falling crosshead after it has fallen.    The stop blocks can be stacked vertically to build an assembly with the desired height depending on the height of the specimen and test configuration.  The uppermost block piece is an elastomeric stop block for damping (absorbing) the impact.  Stop blocks are not as effective as shock absorbers when minimizing vibrations.
