Spinal Implants

The Instron® spinal fixture is designed to meet ASTM F1717-12 requirements. In accordance to the standard, the UHMWPE blocks are attached to the spinal fixture. The design of the blocks can differ, according to the clinical application at the intended spinal location. The way that the blocks are connected to the fixture allow a degree of freedom when performing bending compression, bending tensile, and torsional testing.

8874 Servohydraulic Fatigue Testing System

The Instron® 8874 is a compact tabletop axial-torsion servohydraulic testing system that meets the challenging demands variousstatic and dynamic tests requires. The system carries out axial, torsion, or combined axial-torsion tests. With the actuator in theupper crosshead and a lower t-slot table, the 8874 makes an ideal platform for testing a variety of medical devices, biomaterials,advanced materials, and other components testing.

8803 Servohydraulic Fatigue Testing System

The Instron® 8803 is a versatile servohydraulic fatigue testing system that performs static and dynamic tests on materials and components up to 500 kN. 8803 systems provide complete testing solutions to satisfy the needs of advanced materials and component testing, and are ideally suited for fatigue testing and fracture mechanics. With a large number of configurations and options, including lower t-slot tables, the 8803 makes an ideal platform for any laboratory.

8801 Series Servohydraulic Fatigue Testing Systems

The Instron® 8801 is a compact servohydraulic fatigue testing system that meets the challenging demands of various static and dynamic testing requirements. 8801 systems provide complete testing solutions to satisfy the needs of advanced materials and component testing, and are ideally suited for fatigue testing and fracture mechanics. The compact design of the 8801 frame makes it ideal for installation within any laboratory environment, generally without the need for strengthened floors or raised ceiling heights.

Pneumatic Tire Cord Grips Data Sheet

The Instron pneumatic tire cord grips (catalog number 2714-010) provide a convenient method for clamping tire cord and braided wire during testing. A guide pin allows for easy loading onto a graduated radius cam, which provides a stress-reduced clamping area on the specimen.

Plastics Testing Solutions Brochure

Instron is a leading provider in calibrating HDT & Vicat systems and is an active participant in the development of ISO 75 and ASTM D648 standards for HDT and ISO 306 and ASTM D1525 standards for Vicat. This service ensures that testing parameters are being met and that associated results are being calculated accurately.

Drop Tower Onsite TUP Calibration

Since there are no existing ASTM or ISO standards for the calibration of a TUP, Instron has developed thorough procedures to meet the testing standards for calibrating drop tower impact testers. These procedures ensure the calibration of critical equipment parameters.
