ASTM F384 Dispositifs Orthopédiques Métalliques Angulaires de Réparation de Fracture
Cet essai est basé sur la norme ASTM F384 - Standard Specifications and Test Methods for Metallic Angled Orthopedic Fracture Fixation Devices (spécifications de la norme et méthodes d’essai des dispositifs orthopédiques métalliques angulaires de réparation de fracture). Pour les essais statiques, on applique une charge de compression en forme de rampe jusqu’à ce que le dispositif de réparation se déforme plastiquement ou qu’une déflexion prédéfinie soit atteinte. L'objectif est de déterminer la rigidité en flexion statique de la plaque. Des essais de flexion quatre points et des essais de fatigue, au moyen d’un instrument d’essai ElectroPuls™ ou d’un système d’essai de fatigue 8870, sont également nécessaires pour évaluer avec précision le dispositif de réparation. Le système d’essai est conçu pour fonctionner avec ou sans bain salin et peut être adapté à différentes tailles et géométries d’éprouvettes.
