Automation for Universal Testing Systems

Instron offers a range of automation solutions for universal testing machines to improve throughput, repeatability, and safety, while freeing up skilled operators to focus on more complex and creative tasks. Available as either a complete turnkey solution or as modules that can be fitted to existing universal testing systems, Instron automation products can be tailored to your program’s specific requirements.

OVERVIEW
AT6 The AT6 system is built around a 6-axis robot capable of high-volume, round-the-clock testing, automating everything from specimen measurement to data collection and disposal, and can even integrate third-party testing equipment such as hardness testers.
AT3 With a relatively compact footprint, the AT3 is capable of holding up to 160 specimens and can automate the entire testing process from specimen measurement to data collection and disposal. The system can perform tensile, compression, flex, and lap shear testing to meet a range of international standards.
Automated XY Stage The AT2 can be installed on any new or existing 6800 or 5900 Series universal testing system to automate compression, tensile, and flexure testing of devices or components with multiple test points or multiple components with repetitive test points.
Automated Carousel The automated carousel testing system utilizes an innovative, adaptable design to automate batch testing – typically used for compressive type tests on medical vials, cartridges, and pre-filled syringes.
CT6 Cobot This system pairs a collaborative robot (cobot) with a 6800 or 5900 Series universal testing system to increase the efficiency of small to mid-sized testing labs that require a high degree of flexibility in their testing systems.
Multi-Station While not a traditional automation system, the 6800 Series multi-station system offers enhanced throughput with its ability to perform simultaneous, independent tests on up to five separate specimens using a single load frame.
