ASTM A370 鋼筋的拉伸測試與彎曲測試
為了此拉伸測試我們使用了油壓式楔型夾置具，因為初始的鎖模力可以減少夾置具在鋼筋粗糙表面的滑移現象，此 油壓式楔型夾置具可以夾持鋼筋直徑尺寸為10 mm (0.39 in)至70 mm (2.75 in)，夾置具為有一個可以容納鋼筋橫樑凹槽的V型夾置具。
最後我們使用一個自動的應變計來量取應變值，我們所選擇的型號為M300B，其可調整的標距長度為10 mm至300 mm(此要求為大多數的鋼筋所應用)，在測試開始時可以自動的夾住鋼筋的橫樑表面且在測試期間在特定的點鬆開，此應變數據可以用在彈性模數和降伏強度的計算。
