Our state-of-the-art machine shop in Binghamton, New York produces foundational frame components and flagship accessories for materials testing labs worldwide, all proudly made in the USA. We use only the highest quality metal alloys and advanced machine tools to create critical components like crossheads and base beams for our 3400 and 6800 Series universal testing systems. Each part undergoes rigorous checks to meet our stringent precision requirements.
Our Binghamton facility also produces hundreds of load string accessories, including pneumatic grips, flexure fixtures, and adapters. After machining, parts are plated, painted, heat-treated, and assembled locally, ensuring tight quality control and rapid delivery. For unique testing needs, our dedicated team of machinists collaborates with Instron’s Engineered Solutions Group to design custom products. Components are shipped daily to our Norwood, Massachusetts headquarters for final assembly and testing.
