2732-006 High Temp Pneumatic Action Grips Data Sheet
High temperature pneumatic action grips provide a convenient method for clamping delicate films, polymers and woven fabric within a temperature controlled environment. The clamping mechanism can be activated either automatically or through a foot switch. This allows hands-free grip closure enabling the specimen to be held with both hands for easy loading. High temperature pneumatic grips provide selectable clamping force to accommodate for the variety of different materials to be tested. Both jaw face automatically adjust to different specimen thickness to ensure that the line of tensile force remains concentric with the grip body. This has an excellent follow-up action that compensates for decay of the holding force due to specimen creep. The grips can be equipped with a selection of interchangeable grip jaw faces in various sizes and choice of surfaces including smooth ground, rubber-coated and serrated. Line contact and special coated faces are also available.

CEAST Data Acquisition and Analysis
The new CEAST DAS 64K is a state-of-the-art Data Acquisition System designed for impact testing instruments. Compatible
with the full range of CEAST impact testing systems, including pendulum type machines (CEAST 9000 Series) and drop towers (CEAST 9300 Series), it’s the key for instrumented impact testing. The DAS 64K also enables the data collection
from instrumented tups or hammers on older models and non-CEAST impact machines.

2714 Series Pneumatic Tire Cord Grips (2714-040)
Pneumatic cord and yarn grips are designed to have interchangeable clamping blocks that accommodate fiber or yarns made from conventional fibers to newly developed high-performance fibers. A specially designed horn with a smooth, highly-polished or controlled surface roughness finish and a contoured surface with a graduated cam allows for easy loading and a stress-reduced clamping area on the specimen. The clamping mechanism can be activated either automatically or through a footswitch to allow hands-free grip operation; this enables the operator to hold the specimen with both hands for easy loading. Pneumatic cord and yarn grips provide selectable clamping force to accommodate different materials and excellent follow-up action that compensates for decay of the holding force due to specimen creep.

Instron Professional Services Hydraulic Hose Replacement
Hoses can often be the forgotten part of hydraulic systems,
but their performance and condition can have a critical
impact on not only the system performance, but also on the
health and safety of your facilities and staff.
Most laboratories will have their own periodic inspection
program as part of the site’s health and safety policy. Early
indications of an impending catastrophic hose failure, such
as blistering, fitting weep, and chaffing, will often be detected
then, or as part of Instron’s professional routine system
maintenance. This specialised maintenance will also detect
more subtle failure, such as the erosion of the internal hose
wall, that can have a marked impact on the performance of
the system, especially in such areas as the servo valve.

CEAST 9000 Series Pendulum Impact Series
Impact resilience is one of the most important properties and cost-effective evaluations for material producers, both with respect to product development and quality control. As components could fail at stress levels well below the critical fracture stress, accurate determination of impact damage propagation is necessary. With the combined experience of CEAST, Instron® has more than 50 years experience in designing pendulum impact testing systems.

Rheology Systems Melt Flow Tester CEAST MF10
CEAST MF10 is the entry level model of the CEAST Melt Flow
Testers Series. A simple and robust instrument, designed to
perform tests according to Procedure A of ISO 1133, ASTM D 1238
and equivalents.
Temperature testing range goes from 30 to 400 °C
(resolution of 0.1°C), with accuracy and stability according to
ISO 1133-1. Barrel and piston are made of hardened steel,
precision-machined according to ISO and ASTM requirements. Each
unit is supplied with one tungsten carbide die, barrel and die cleaning
tools, and one test mass for 2160 grams. The die can be removed
easily from the bottom of the barrel, for cleaning and inspection,
thanks to the quick-release slide system.
The following certificates are included: CE certificate, Quality
certificate, dimensional conformity certificates of barrel, piston
and die.
