Rheology Systems Melt Flow Tester CEAST MF50
The Instron® CEAST MF50 multi-weight Melt Flow Tester performs melt flow rate (melt index) tests according to MFR and MVR methods that fully comply with ASTM D1238 procedures A, B, C, D, and ISO 1133 A and B, for single weight and multiple weight tests .
Multi-weight tests can include up to 5 masses in increasing, decreasing or free sequence, with fully customizable preheating and measurement steps. All masses are pre-installed and managed by the machine without operator intervention, eliminating all safety concerns. A high-resolution direct-contact encoder measures piston displacement. The temperature profile in the barrel is extremely stable and accurate. Additional advanced features include a large touch-screen display for full test programming, management and diagnostic functions, with an embedded PC based on Windows CE, able to store test methods and test results. Easy data export through USB and Ethernet ports. Compacting and purging functions can be supported by the unique load cell feature. Automatic melt cutting and barell cleaning accessories are also available.

Component Test Plate
The Component Test Plate is designed to accommodate the trend of testing end products or components. Within the medical device industry, many test requirements are focusing on the actual quality and test performance of the end product in addition to the standard test requirements of the materials from which it is constructed. The Component Test Plate is used to determine the force limits in particular functional elements of products ranging from catheter delivery systems to buttons on diagnostic test instruments. Once oriented, the test component can be easily fixed to the base through the array of tapped holes. A force applicator (probe, hook, or clamp) can then be attached to the load cell. The combination of a fixed component and test force applicator generates valuable results for either quality or research and development groups. Additionally, the Component Test Plate simplifies the process of adapting custom-made grips and fixtures to the testing systems.

2714 Series Pneumatic Tire Cord Grips 2714010CP108524
The Instron® pneumatic tire cord grips provide a convenient method for clamping tire cord and braided wire during testing. A guide pin allows for easy loading onto a graduated radius cam, which provides a stress-reduced clamping area on the specimen. The clamping mechanism can be activated either automatically or through a footswitch, which allows for hands-free grip operation enabling the specimen to be held with both hands for easy loading. Pneumatic cord and yarn grips provide selectable clamping force to accommodate different materials and excellent follow-up action that compensates for decay of the holding force due to specimen creep.
