Upgrading to WaveMatrix3

What are the new features of WaveMatrix3?

There are four areas of new functionality: Test Review, Specimen & Test Inputs, Security, and IT Compatibility. These features have been developed using expert customer feedback to save time, enhance productivity, improve confidence in results, and futureproof testing facilities.

Test Review

What is the Test Review feature and how do I use it?

Test Review allows users to review their test results directly from the Test tab in WaveMatrix3, without needing to export data to third-party software. Features include an editable graph layout, a zoom tool, and the ability to overlay multiple cycles for quick comparison. The default layout mirrors the WaveMatrix3 test workspace when a test is first opened, and any layout changes are saved without affecting the original data or method files.

Specimen & Test Inputs

When should I use the Specimen & Test Inputs feature?

Use this feature when you want to record specimen dimensions or test information alongside your test data, or when you want to calculate or control axial stress during the test using a cross-section measurement.

Security

What does the Security feature do?

The Security feature allows you to create and manage different access levels and associated permissions for system operators. When Security is enabled, each user must log in with their own username and passcode and can only perform operations permitted by their access level.
