Automatic Specimen Measurement Devices Integrated with Bluehill® Universal

Automated specimen measurement devices (ASMD) save time by eliminating the need for manual data entry and prevents errors associated with manual calculations of mean, maximum, or minimum specimen measurements.

An ASMD can be configured to accept a user-defined number of inputs (i.e. three width measurements and three thickness measurements) and can be configured to determine the mean, maximum, or minimum of those measurements automatically. Individual measurements are collected using calipers or a micrometer and entered into the software with the press of a button or tap of a footswitch.
